missouri.id compiles Missouri information from official and primary sources, labels our own judgments, discloses commercial relationships and corrects errors we confirm. We do not claim first-hand visits, credentials or reviews that we do not have.
Source hierarchy
- Primary and official: government agencies and operators (Missouri state agencies, Missouri transit agencies, the airport, NOAA, the U.S. Census Bureau).
- Authoritative secondary: destination organizations and recognized references such as Travel Missouri (the official visitor bureau) and recognized references.
- Everything else: used only with a stated limitation. Estimates and opinions are labeled as such.
How we write
- Each page opens with a direct answer, then supporting facts, trade-offs and limits.
- Figures carry units, dates and the source nearby. Sources are listed at the end of each page with the date we read them.
- Judgments are labeled "our assessment". We do not publish numeric ratings, prices or crowd levels that we cannot verify.
- Our original assets are the month-by-month NOAA climate table, the hotel room-tax calculator and the city-and-region picker; their methods and sources are on the page.
Review cadence
Pages show a "last reviewed" date. We re-check time-sensitive facts (fares, hours, event dates, tax rates) at least monthly and review evergreen pages at least quarterly. We change the date only when we have actually reviewed or edited the content. Scheduled changes are noted on the relevant page.
